How do I setup a separate e-mail addresses on a home computer wireless network?

I have (2) computers on a wireless network which is an AT%26amp;T 2-Wire Gateway Router. One computer is running Windows Vista with Windows Mail and the other computer is Windows 98 with Outlook Express. Both share the same ISP which is AT%26amp;T/SBC. On the Windows Vista I only have (1) e-mail account with (1) e-mail address. I want to know how I can setup separate e-mail addresses so that the mail goes directly to the named person, instead of both computers.

What you have to do is create a new email account through AT%26amp;T. Just log in to the account section with the master account and create the new account. Then all you have to do is configure the email client on the particular computer.

Just remember that email accounts are not bound to specific computes. I have several email accounts configured on multiple computers, plus I can access each of those accounts through a web portal which means I can check them from any computer connected to the internet (as long as Yahoo or Gmail are not blocked).

Some email programs let you have multiple profiles with each one configured for different people. Most email programs will allow you to check mail for multiple accounts within each individual profile.

For Outlook Express you would actually create separate Windows profiles to create multiple profiles. This means creating a profile which has different settings for things like the desktop, short cuts, temporary internet files, etc. Each of your profiles can then be password protected to keep others from snooping. This gives you the freedom to check your email from either computer.

Ask your ISP if you can get a second e-mail.
I know that with Outlook/Outlook Express, you can change where it checks the email in the Tools %26gt; Accounts.

This is independant of how you connect to the internet. It's only where it checks the email.
