I'm running window vista and try to install photo mail, yahoo came back with with requirement but I'm above all those requirement, and can't even download to try it. Is yahoo that far behind?

Yahoo is not too far behind; it's you who are too far advanced. Vista is not officially released yet so you may find quite a few software titles and hardware components that will not be compatible with Vista until at least it official release.
