Does yahoo & window mail together have announced Prize Award to selected mail ids?

Dear Sir,

I have been receiving several mails from Yhoo Awards Center U.K. %26amp; Ireland informing me that my e mail id is selected for an award of SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND Great British Pounds.

The message carries a logo of Yahoo Mail.

I have been given two names of legal experts who can complete necessary legal formalities on chargeable basis.

These legal experts are asking for depositing equivalent INR of 500GBP in their representative's bank account before they can get necessary legal documents on my behalf.The mails have come from

agentkennethmack@yahoo.com,

agentkennethmack@wala.com,

nationwidebank@nationwidebank.infinite...

I have not been shown any award certificate up till now.

Is it fake or real? Does Yahoo mail have an arrangement of giving away prize money every year?

Pl send your answer by return mail.

Pl help me and remove my confusion.

So far I have not done anything except comunicating at the above mentioned ids.

You don't get anything for nothing, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information.The following sites give more information.

the below information is for yahoo mail

but the steps may be close for other providers

Blocking A Sender In The All New Mail

( clicking the spam button only REPORTS the spam to yahoo )

click the spam button to report the spam

to block the sender manually

on the top right side of mail page

click options

then mail options

click contact options

on the left click mail

then click general preferences

then block addresses

type in the email address

click add block

if you are getting alot of spam from a certain domain

you will see block domains to

this will be after the @ sign in the email

example @yahoo.com

yahoo.com is the domain

be carefull of the domains you block

obviously you dont want to block yahoo.com

that would stop all email from people with yahoo email addesses

Blocking A Sender For Yahoo Classic

click the spam button

to add addresses manually to blocked senders list

on top right side of mail page

choose options

then choose block addresses

type in the email address

if you are getting alot of spam from a certain domain

you will see block domains to

this will be after the @ sign in the email

be carefull of the domains you block

obviously you dont want to block yahoo.com

that would stop all email from people with yahoo email addesses

Bulk Email Settings

bulk email is when the same email is sent to alot of people by just sending one email

an easy way to spam alot of people in just a few clicks of the mouse

For The all New Mail

click options on top right side of mail page

then click mail options

then click spam

put a check beside

Automatically send suspected spam to my Spam folder

For Classic

click options on the top right side of mail page

then spam protection

and set the setting to delete immediately upon arrival
