I have a acer Windows Vista Computer .When I am in Yahoo E mail or downloading a movie it times out

I have a ACER indows Vista Cmputer Lap Top when I am in my Yahoo E mal or downloading a movie the computer times out and restarts and comes back with my yahoo home page, and I lose all my information that I have been working on, and also in a middle of a download I have to start all over. How can I solve this problem of it timing out? Can I make it last for a longer time?

It would appear you are in dial-up.

Go to Internet properties, check-off time out period as Never.

Normally it sets itself up as 10 minutes by default. You have to change it.

This does not apply to DSL or Cable connections.
